Fox Home Health Professional Training Center

The CNA training program consists of 160 hours, combining classroom learning and hands-on clinical experience. Students can complete the program in as little as 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the schedule. The course includes:

• 60 hours of theory instruction covering essential patient care, safety protocols, infection control, and legal responsibilities
• 100 hours of supervised clinical practice in a healthcare facility

The training prepares students to take and pass the California CNA State Certification Exam and begin working in entry-level nursing positions in long-term care, acute care, and home health settings.

Applicants must meet the following requirements to enroll:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Provide a valid ID and Social Security card
• Complete a Department of Justice background check
• Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a 2-step TB test
• Complete a physical exam as required by clinical partners

The total tuition for the CNA program is $2,275, but eligible students may qualify for full tuition coverage through the Healthcare Career Pathways (HCP) grant. For others, payment plans are available to make the program financially accessible.

Students enrolled in the HCP-supported version of the program may also receive:

• Free weekday lunches during instruction
• Food pantry access and transportation support
• Personalized career coaching and employer connections

This grant is funded by the California Health Care Access and Information Department and managed by Empowered Aging.
